I would also love to have this pattern. Please let me know if there is any way I could get it. It’s so gorgeous!
Thanks so much!
Sam
I was having problems with downloading the pdf. Finally, I right clicked and did the save target as. Voila! It worked.
I love your rose and am attempting to knit it. However, I’m requesting help on creating the base/leaves. I followed the directions for the base and I-cord but do I make 2 of these so there’s a cord on both sides of the flower? Also, the instruction say to pick up 3 stitches on the I-cord and begin the leaves; how do I do this? Can I just knit the leaves and then sew them onto the finished cord? I’d really appreciate any help you could provide. I am new to knitting but absolutely love it.
Sincerely,
Knitting Novice
Hi there! You only knit one base for the rose. It beings with an i-cord, then you switch to the flat base, then you end with an i-cord (all one piece). For the leaves, yes you can definitely just knit the leaves and sew them on later. Hope that helps! I’m here if you need anything else!
Thank you sooo much for the help!!! That makes complete sense now. Thanks for sharing your designs
Hi! I just wanted to thank you for this fantastic pattern. I just made one into a headband for my 4-year-old niece as an early Valentine’s Day present, and she loves it. Easy, quick, and so gorgeous. Thank you!
Can you make this without double pointed needles? I just bought some round needles and I was wondering if I could use those instead or standard straight needles. I am a novice knitter whose only project is a garter stitch scarf and I’m about to knit a hat and I like this pattern, Thanks!!
Yes! You can knit the rose and the leaves as written, you will need to look up a tutorial for making an i-cord on a circular needle.
I’m looking for a pattern to knit a flat rose. Do you have a pattern for one and could you email it to me?
thanks in advance
Hi Leslie,
Hope you had a good Christmas, I was looking for a “Flat Flower” pattern for a head band I’ve just knitted for these cold days, did you have any luck with anyone emailing you a pattern? hope you don’t mind me asking.
Many thanks
Janet

Anna, please use these links: View Pattern Page 1 / Page 2 / Page 3 (they also appear at the top of the post) if you are having trouble downloading the pdf pattern file.
I loove this–just a quick clarification
do I bind off each petal some how and then start a new one without breaking the yarn? or bind off and cut the yarn and make each petal seperate…
thanks!
Hi, Jeanette!
The flower part is worked in one piece, with increases and decreases shaping the petals – no binding off except at the very end.
Thanks for the comment!

Love this pattern please send me the pattern. Thanks
There is a link to the pattern in the post. Thanks for the comment!
Just wanted to say a great big THANK YOU! This pattern was super easy to follow, and aside from actually rolling up the rose, it was very easy and quick to knit. My daughter is going to absolutely love it!!!
