The ginger flavor in this tea recipe is very subtle.  For a spicy ginger-loving kick, grate a piece of ginger root with a fine lemon zester instead of slicing it.  So refreshing!

You will need:

  • 4 green tea bags
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 2 fresh ginger root slices
  • 4 fresh lime slices
  • Fresh mint

Serves 4.

1.  Bring tea bags, ginger and 2 cups water to a boil.  Turn off heat and let steep for 5 minutes.

2.  Remove tea bags and ginger and stir in honey until dissolved.  Add remaining 2 cups water.

3.  Fill pint glasses with ice and a slice of lime.  Ladle tea into glasses and top with fresh mint.
