Can you tell me how you made your ties looks so nice. This is always a problem for me and yours looks like it is part of the hat.

A good tip for nice i-cords is to use smaller needles. I think I used size 6 US here. Thanks for the comment!

Do you start it at the beginning or do it at the end, and do you knit it? Guess I need more than the size 6 needle information. Sorry, I should have made my question clearer the first time.
